The nose is reserved and discreet. It expresses notes of black plum, morello cherry, blackcurrant, red cherry and blueberry, associated with a herbaceous touch of blackcurrant leaf and peppermint, as well as with subtle toasted notes (toasted wood, toasted bread) and a floral hint (peony). The mouth is more expressive than the nose. We find flavors of morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant, black plum and blackberry, combined with notes of fresh liquorice, a hint of toasted bread, cocoa and coffee. The tannins are gripping on the finish. The finish is juicy, sapid and rather delicious, with good bitterness and notes of morello cherry, crushed black plum and chocolate in the background.
