Château Roquefort, Les Roches Blanches, Merlot 2023 – Bordeaux

The nose is aromatic, concentrated and fresh. It expresses notes of juicy fruits (red cherry, raspberry, morello cherry, blackcurrant, fresh black plum and a hint of roasted black plum), combined with notes of dried mint, dried wild flowers, liquorice, nutmeg, with a touch of pine sap and a delicate minerality in the background. The palate is juicy, straight and precise. It expresses notes of tart red cherry, red plum, morello cherry, tart raspberry and blackcurrant, combined with herbaceous notes of blackcurrant leaf, dried mint, as well as a touch of pine sap, violet. in the background and a limestone minerality which appears at the end of the palate. The tannins are grippy, even drying in the finish. A salivating acidity and a fruity and juicy persistence bring balance to the structure of the wine.
