Château Poujeaux 2023 – Moulis-en-médoc

Lovely fruity nose, harmonious, fresh, nicely racy and which offers almost a fine graphite hint. We find notes of cassis, morello cherry and small notes of violet associated with touches of small crushed red berries as well as fine hints of cornflower, tobacco and a hint of gray pepper. The palate is nicely built, fruity, elegant, gourmet and offers suppleness, a floral note as well as a nice stretchiness. All in accuracy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, fresh raspberry and small notes of fresh flowers associated with touches of small fresh/pulpy red fruits as well as hints of cornflower, vanilla, toasted almond and a hint of toast. A fine chalky side in the tannins. Good persistence.
