Château Lalaudey 2023 – Moulis-en-Médoc

The nose is aromatic, subtly woody and spicy. It expresses notes of liquorice, fresh wood, toasted hazelnut, a touch of vanilla, nutmeg, even clove in the background, an elegant floral touch (rose, violet), associated with fresh and tangy fruits (morello cherry, red plum, blackcurrant, tart red cherry). The palate is suave and savoury. It expresses notes of ripe fruit (morello cherry, black plum in the background, blackcurrant, red cherry in chocolate, hint of wild strawberry), associated with notes of violet and nutmeg. The finish is long, chocolatey, gourmand, with a nice acidity and the gourmandise of chocolate, cocoa and morello cherry in chocolate on the finish. An ample and flavorful wine while remaining elegant and refined.
