Château Haut-Tellas (Malbec) 2023 – Vin de France

(organic) The nose is juicy, pure and fruity. It expresses notes of black plum, red plum, blackberry and morello cherry, combined with fresh herbaceous notes of crushed peppermint, blackcurrant bud, peony and liquorice in the background. The palate is airy, fruity and tangy. It expresses notes of red cherry, morello cherry, cranberries, red plum and black plum, associated with touches of fresh mint, blackcurrant leaf and a good bitterness. The tannins have a fine grain, but grip in the mid-palate. The finish offers salivating acidity, a touch of cocoa and good persistence.
