Château Carcanieux 2023 – Médoc

The nose offers a certain density and juiciness. It expresses notes of morello cherry, blackcurrant, black plum and blueberry, with perceptible woody hints (fresh wood, toasted wood), a touch of pine needles, liquorice and a pleasant floral hint (peony, fresh rose). The palate is juicy, straight, with a perceptible woody side and a good bitterness on the attack. We then find notes of morello cherry, bird cherry, blackcurrant and blueberry, as well as a spicy touch of liquorice and a hint of menthol in the background. Good persistence, juiciness and sapidity.
