La Vérité – La Muse 2014 – Sonoma

The nose is deep, elegant and offers a peppery side. A “quite Bordeaux” aspect. It reveals notes of blackberry, dry local undergrowth and small notes of clove associated with touches of lilac, pulpy small red fruits as well as discreet almost truffled hints and toasted hints. The palate is elegant, gourmand, mineral, complex and offers freshness, tension as well as a good definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright/pulpy raspberry and small notes of fleshy cherry associated with touches of cornflowers, toasted, toasted almond, a subtle almost chocolate hint as well as discreet hints of caramelization, tobacco, undergrowth and sweet spices.
