Malvira’ – San Michele 2020 – Barbera d’Alba Superiore

The nose is spicy and offers a certain power, a beautiful intense grain as well as a certain deepness. There are notes of blackberry, violet and small notes of quite ripe small red fruits associated with touches of bigarreau cherry as well as slight hints of blueberry, smoke and a hint of spices. The mouth is fruity and offers juiciness, an acidulous frame, a beautiful definition, precision, tension, a beautiful acidity as well as energy. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of pulpy/ juicy cherry, acidulous/ bright plum and small notes of bright small blue fruits associated with a hint of crushed redcurrant, lilac, cornflowers as well as a subtle hint of tabaco. Good length and a beautiful definition. Sapid and elegant tannins. Beautiful freshness.
