The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose expresses a distinct oaky notes and a racy minerality. We find aromas of rock and graphite, toasted wood and smoke, which combine in the second nose with the fruity aromas of crushed strawberry, raspberry coulis, black plum, blackcurrant and crushed blueberry, as well as with a touch of sweet spices (ground cumin, liquorice) and a floral hint of peony. The palate is juicy, fruity and slightly tight (the tannins are grippy in the mid-palate, but have a fine grain). It expresses the flavors of morello cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, blackcurrant, as well as macerated red cherry, liquorice, nutmeg and smoke, with a less perceptible minerality than on the nose, which returns at the end of the mouth. The finish is fruity, tangy and peppery, moderately persistent. Freshness and a good level of acidity.
