The wine has a bright ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic, fruity and spicy. It expresses notes of juicy morello cherry, black plum, crushed blackcurrant, wild strawberry, raspberry jam, chocolate cherry, as well as sweet spices (vanilla, cinnamon, black pepper, cloves), aromatic herbs (peppermint, fresh bay leaf, thyme, fresh tobacco) and cherry blossom in the background, complemented by a hint of caramelized hazelnut and coffee. The mouth is supple, enveloping and elegant. It expresses notes of blackberry, morello cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry jam, prunes in chocolate and crème de cassis, combined with herbaceous notes of peppermint, thyme, bay leaf and tobacco, with a fine spiciness (vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg) and a mineral touch (graphite). The tannins have a delicate grain and are finely tight on the finish. The acidity is salivating and refreshing. Good persistence on juicy notes of fresh red fruits, with a hint of dark chocolate and a good bitterness.
