Poderi Colla, Dardi Le Rose, Barolo Bussia 2020 – Barolo

Poderi Colla, Dardi Le Rose, Barolo Bussia 2020 – Barolo

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is reserved and requires aeration. It then expresses delicate herbaceous and floral aromas (rose, lilac, a touch of peony, rose leaf, bay leaf, mint), associated with fruity notes of bigarreau cherry, crunchy strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant and crushed blueberry, as well as a touch of licorice, white pepper and nutmeg. There is also a subtle touch of bergamot zest and bitter almond. The attack on the palate is open, aromatic and expresses notes of ripe fruit (morello cherry, strawberry, raspberry, red currants, a touch of blueberry), associated with gourmet and savoury touches of sweet spices (liquorice, white pepper and cumin), dark chocolate, as well as enveloped floral and herbaceous notes (rose, peony, dried mint). The finish is juicy, sapid, and offers notes of ripe fruit and good bitterness, as well as lively acidity. The tannins are a little rough, but integrated and not astringent.
