Arnaldoo Rivera, Undicicomuni 2020 – Barolo

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers freshness, tangy fruits, as well as a fragrant floral bouquet. It expresses notes of fresh rose, faded rose, lilac and violet, combined with fresh fruity aromas (red cherry, strawberry, raspberry, red plum, a touch of crushed blackcurrant), as well as resinous notes (pine needles, pine bark), spicy hints (liquorice, Sarawak pepper, nutmeg), as well as a slight herbaceous touch (mint, fresh thyme). We also find a gourmet and slightly sweet touch of dark plum with chocolate. The palate is tight, but balanced by the juiciness of fruit. It expresses the flavors of juicy red cherry, crunchy strawberry, crushed raspberry, a touch of cranberries, wild blueberry and wild plum, combined with floral notes of fresh rose and lilac, as well as a herbaceous touch (mint) and spicy (liquorice, nutmeg). The finish expresses slightly drying tannins, good bitterness and salivating acidity. Good persistence, nice structure, juiciness and freshness.
