The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose expresses herbaceous and floral notes (tobacco, dried wild flowers, a touch of hay, dried cornflower, bay berries, dried rosemary, peppermint), even light tertiary aromas in the background (withered rose, damp leaves). We then find notes of fresh red fruits (strawberry, red cherry, blackcurrant, cranberries) of roasted cherry, dried cranberries, as well as a fine spicy side (nutmeg, licorice, pink pepper berries) and a touch of background torrefaction (coffee). The palate is tight and expresses the dryness of tannins (which at the same time have a fine and velvety grain). It expresses fruity flavors (roasted red cherry, fresh red cherry, dried cranberries, dried blackcurrant, crushed blueberry), a tasty spicy side (nutmeg, liquorice, a sweet hint of vanilla) and floral notes in the background (rose, iris). On the finish, we find tertiary nuances of wilted rose, dried wild herbs and fallen leaves. Good persistence in the mouth, with gourmandise of roasted cherry and a touch of chocolate. Complexity and a good overall balance.
