The wine has a pale ruby color, with slight garnet reflections. The nose offers intensity, a distinct herbaceous notes, as well as a racy minerality. It expresses notes of limestone, even slightly saline, of tar (in the background), peppermint, laurel berries, fresh tobacco, fresh rose, lilac, as well as tangy fresh fruits (raspberry, red cherry, red currants, cranberries, a delicious touch of black plum and blackberry), as well as a fine spicy side (licorice, cloves) and a touch of toasted hazelnut in the background. On the palate, the wine is enveloping, ample, while remaining fresh and juicy. It expresses notes of crunchy strawberry, raspberry, red currant, a hint of cranberries and blackberry, combined with notes of fresh rose, lilac, herbs (wild mint, bay leaf), sweet spices (liquorice , clove). The finish expresses firm, but fine and melted tannins, enveloped in a juicy fruity substance and a salivating acidity, as well as a fine limestone minerality and a good bitterness. Beautiful persistence in the mouth, gourmandise, complexity and good aging potential.
