Lodali, Rocche dei 7 Fratelli 2021 – Barbaresco

Lodali, Rocche dei 7 Fratelli 2021 – Barbaresco

The wine has a pale ruby color. The first nose offers a pleasant scent of dried flowers and herbs, enveloped in a fresh and tangy fruitiness. We find notes of bigarreau cherry, cranberries, red plum, crunchy strawberry and fresh raspberry, associated with a very light touch of pink grapefruit in the background (which adds a delicate bitterness to the nose), wild rose, dried rose petals, fresh cornflower and dried wildflowers, fresh thyme, peppermint and dried bay leaf. There is also a fine touch of liquorice and toast in the background. The palate is gourmand, finely tight and expresses a good bitterness which adds complexity to the bouquet of flavors. It also expresses notes of crunchy strawberry, bigarreau cherry, crushed raspberry, red plum, wild rose, dried cornflower, dried peppermint, thyme and a hint of rosemary. The tannins have a fine grain and a supple, but well-built structure. The finish is gourmand and juicy, with a nice acidity, a pleasant bitterness as well as a subtle herbaceous hint.
