Château Corbin 2021 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé

Château Corbin 2021 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé

A beautiful, spicy, complex, and racy nose, with a multi-layered character and a certain subtlety in its power. There are notes of wild blackberry, small wild black fruits, and notes of cubeb pepper, combined with hints of spices, cardamom and slight touches of graphite, sense of place and a hint of toasted almond. There is a slight darkness in the background. The wine is fruity on the palate and offers suppleness, beautiful freshness, juiciness, a certain controlled brightness of fruit, fleshiness/juiciness, and depth. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackberry, juicy/fresh raspberry, and small notes of dense/fleshy blueberry, combined with touches of cornflower, small berries as well as hints of camphor, cardamom, and fresh pepper, with a discreet hint of varietal in the background. Good length with sappy, polished, and elegant tannins. Good, liquorice persistence.
