Château Beauséjour Duffau-Lagarosse 2021 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Premier Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, fresh, racy, deep, nicely saline (almost iodized) and offers purity, a beautiful definition as well as concentration (in its fruit). There are notes of fleshy/juicy boysenberry, quite ripe blackcurrant and small notes of quite ripe strawberry associated with touches of iodine, chocolate and Bourbon vanilla. Beautiful delicacy. The palate is beautifully fresh, racy, elegant, gourmand, juicy, pulpy and offers precision / control, a fresh structure, tension, voluptuousness, finesse, a beautiful racy grain, deepness as well as a multi-layered side. Beautiful quality of the fruit, ripe but fresh. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/creamy blackberry, crushed strawberry and small notes of chocolate associated with salty/iodine touches, hints of violet, pulpy small fruits as well as a hint of crunchy plum, fine hints of racy minerality, sweet spices and chocolate. Tannins are sapid and mellow. Beautiful mellowness and sapidity on the finish. An imperceptible almost sapid/varietal hint in the background. Great persistence.
