Scheduled from 14 to 17 April in Verona, the aim is to rise up the positioning both of the exhibition brand and Italian wine.
With an incoming campaign worth 3 million euros, VeronaFiere’s strategic plan “One 2024-2026” is thrilled to promote the Italian wine by targeting the most strategic foreign countries through a rigorous selection of operators in the sector. The program, already underway for the 55th edition in 2023, predicts 29,600 international operators from 143 countries (out of a total of 93,000 visitors), including more than a thousand top buyers.
What can we expect from the next edition? All of Italy’s regions will be represented by more than 180,000 square meters of exhibition space and a total of 4,000 wineries. Confirmed as well the following activities: 28th edition of Sol, the International Olive Oil Exhibition (Area C), Xcellent Beers (Area C) and the 25th Enolitech, the International Exhibition of Wine, Oil and Beer Production Technologies (Hall F). Other awesome events confirmed outside the exhibition are: Vinitaly and the City, which will be held in the city centre for more than 45 million scheduled tastings. But the most important Italian wine fair will be inaugurated for the 13th time by Opera Wine, scheduled for Saturday 13th April at Gallerie Mercatali).
Visitors and guests will meet 131 producers selected by Wine Spectator and Veronafiere, true ambassadors of Made in Italy in the United States. Likewise the past years, Tuscany leads the field of Italian excellence, followed by Piedmont, Veneto and Sicily. After the post-pandemic boom, Italian wineries are expecting a response from the markets that have always supported them, such as America, Germany and Northern Europe, at this time of year when the market still seems to be at a standstill. They are also increasingly looking to Asian countries. The Organic Hall (Area C) will be enlarged to accommodate one hundred Italian wineries, as well as those from Hungary, Slovenia and Austria. This confirms the interest in organic products. Confirmed for 2024: Enoteca Bio and tastings in collaboration with FederBio and Vi.Te.
An increasingly international and mixed fair: the International Wine Hall (Tent D) will host companies that are members of Open Balkan (Serbia, Albania and North Macedonia), France with the Champagne Maisons, Georgia, Hungary, Brazil, Armenia, South Africa and Greece. Meanwhile, on the first floor of Palaexpo, there will be an area dedicated to the art of mixology, with masterclasses given by the best Italian bartenders.
