Very beautiful cognac color with orange highlights for this Umeshu. The nose is intense with notes of toast, roasted almond and vanilla but also coconut. The barrel takes over and blends with the plum in a pleasant and harmonious way. It is intense when aerated with a rather cooked plum and the dry and pulpy pruneau d’Agen at the same time. The palate is fresh with notes of toast and roasted almonds. The alcohol is well blended with notes of brandy plum and coconut. It’s intense. The acidity is present and the sugar too but well balanced. The finish is fruity with a touch of bitterness. It is a complex and delicious Umeshu.
