Château Fourcas-Hosten 2020 – Bordeaux

(Organic) The wine has a pale lemon color, with slight green reflections. The nose offers a beautiful lemony freshness, as well as juicy and sweet notes of stone fruits. It expresses the aromas of lemon juice, grated lemon zest, grapefruit (juice and peel), a touch of lime, crunchy apricot, white peach and yellow plum, as well as fine buttery notes, brioche, slightly vanilla and a delicate floral touch (apple blossom and acacia). We also find a fine chalky minerality in the background. The palate offers lots of flavors, roundness, an oily texture as well as a slight sweetness. It expresses the soft and sweet notes of vanilla, peach in syrup, ripe apricot, crunchy golden apple, butter, warm brioche, as well as the freshness of candied lemon zest, lemon juice, zest orange as well as candied grapefruit. Beautiful liveliness and acidity on the finish, the finish is long and sapid, with a fine bitterness of lime. A gourmand, generous white wine, with a beautiful harmony between sweetness and roundness, freshness and acidity.
