(100% Cabernet Sauvignon) The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is fragrant, straight and offers accuracy and complexity. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, morello cherry, fresh blackcurrant, crème de cassis, blueberry, blackberry and wild plum, combined with notes of licorice, clove, nutmeg, ground cumin, as well as fine floral (violet, cornflower, rosehip) and herbaceous (blackcurrant bud, dried mint) notes. The palate is chiseled, juicy and fruity, with a delicate spiciy and herbaceous hints. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, fresh morello cherry, red cherry jam, blackcurrant, blackberry and crème de cassis, combined with notes of licorice, vanilla, cloves, ground cumin, wild mint, blackcurrant bud, as well as a touch of fresh cornflower and violet in the background. The tannins are structured and firm (the wine needs time to round them out). The finish is persistent, gourmand and juicy, with notes of ripe fruit and a hint of mint. Beautiful substance and structure, potential, but the wine seems closed at the moment.
