The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is subtle, but complex, elegant and refined, even textured. It expresses ripe and concentrated fruit, with finesse: notes of fresh blackcurrant, crème de cassis, fresh morello cherry, wild strawberry, roasted red cherry, raspberry coulis and elderberries, associated with delicate, enveloping spicy and woody notes (crushed vanilla pod, cinnamon, licorice, white pepper, cumin, roasted coriander seeds, caramelized hazelnut, sweet coffee), as well as a touch of blackcurrant bud, peony, rose and cherry blossom. The palate is silky, deep, fragrant and concentrated. It expresses notes of fresh fruit, with a very delicate touch of jam, wild strawberry, fresh morello cherry, red cherry jam, fresh blackcurrant, crème de cassis, blueberry and crushed raspberry. We also find an enveloped spiciness (licorice, vanilla, ground cumin, cloves), a touch of roasting (toasted hazelnut, sweet coffee) and an elegant floral and herbaceous bouquet, which is expressed at the end of the palate (violet, rose, dried mint). The finish is persistent and complex: it continues to develop towards notes of bitter cocoa and sweet spices. Beautiful acidity, a touch of bitterness and a firm, but smooth tannin structure. A powerful and deep, yet elegant wine. Very good aging potential.
