The wine has a deep ruby color. The first nose offers elegant floral, herbaceous and spicy aromas, then complemented by a juicy, even slightly sweet, fruity notes. It expresses notes of violet, peony and lily, combined with a touch of wild mint, licorice, clove, ground cumin, as well as integrated woody aromas (toasted, heated wood, caramel). We also find the notes of sweet ripe fruits: morello cherry, red cherry jam, red currant jam, crushed blackcurrant, wild strawberry, wild blackberry. On the palate, the wine is more closed, with a solid tannin structure and grippy tannins on the finish. The wine expresses the flavors of morello cherry, tart red cherry, blackcurrant, crunchy strawberry, associated with savory notes of smoke, roasted aromatic herbs (roasted bouquet garni), dried mint, as well as touches of toasted vanilla, caramel, and heated wood in the background. The finish is persistent, with notes of roasting, roasted meat and ripe red fruits, with a hint of chocolate in the background. A good level of acidity refreshes the whole and softens grippy tannins. A structured and fleshy wine.
