The wine has a deep ruby color. It is reserved at the beginning and benefits from aeration. The nose expresses a svoury, but refined spicy notes (notes of clove, licorice, gray pepper, cinnamon, vanilla and coriander), enveloped in juicy and concentrated fruity aromas: we find in particular the notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, morello cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, wild plum and roasted red cherry. There is also a fine floral bouquet (violet, peony, cornflower) and a delicate herbaceous touch (dried mint, blackcurrant bud). The palate offers concentration and depth, all in elegance. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, roasted red cherry, raspberry coulis, redcurrant jelly, fresh blackcurrant, wild blackberry and morello cherry, combined with notes of dried mint, violet, cornflower, as well as as well as an elegant woody and spicy hints (notes of licorice, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, toasted hazelnut and cocoa). The tannins are well-structured, silky and fine. The finish offers beautiful acidity, persistence and gourmandize. Good aging potential.
