Tenuta Garetto, Favà 2021 – Nizza

The wine has a bright ruby color of medium intensity. The nose opens with delicate oaky notes (toasted hazelnut, fresh oak, pine sap), and then offers floral aromas (peony, violet, lilac) and a juicy and slightly sweet fruitiness (black cherry jam, red cherry). blackberry, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis). We also find gourmet notes of mint chocolate, sweet spices (licorice, ground cloves), fresh tobacco and thyme. On the palate, the wine is open, juicy, fruity and gourmand. It offers flavors of fresh morello cherry, raspberry coulis, wild strawberry, red currant jelly, as well as peppermint, licorice, clove, mint chocolate and chocolate cherry. A fine floral touch (rose, lilac) returns at the end of the palate. The tannins are delicate and soft. Good persistence with chocolate notes, balanced by a good level of acidity.
