The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose is oaky and spicy: it expresses notes of heated wood, toast, toasted bread, toasted almond, black pepper, licorice, ground cumin and clove. Then, we find notes of morello cherry, roasted red cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, wild plum, as well as a touch of peony, lily, chocolate with mint and pine needles. On the palate, the wine reflects the nose and expresses notes of toasted almond, ground clove, cumin, black pepper and licorice, supported by a fresh but concentrated fruity substance. We find in particular the flavors of morello cherry, blackcurrant, wild strawberry, macerated red cherry, crushed raspberry, complemented by a sweet touch of chocolate cherry, cocoa and vanilla, with a fine note of peony in the background. The tannins are firm, structured, but not drying thanks to high acidity. A precise, straight wine, with energy, structure and gourmandise.
