The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is fruity, gourmand, and offers a certain concentration. It expresses notes of morello cherry, crushed strawberry, roasted red cherry, raspberry coulis, a touch of blackcurrant and blackberry, as well as some spiciness (white pepper, licorice) and dried wild flowers in the background. The palate is delicious, open and fruity. It expresses the tanginess of red cherry, fresh raspberry and blackcurrant, combined with notes of strawberry, morello cherry, redcurrant jelly, as well as a herbaceous hint of blackcurrant leaf and a spicy touch of liquorice and white pepper. The tannins are barely perceptible, with a light structure. The finish is moderately persistent, a little bitter, but tangy and salivating.
