Château Bellevue 2020 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé
Beautiful elegant, racy, precise nose and offers a nice aromatic palette, a fine power as well as a certain intensity. A beautiful fine and discreetly tight grain. We find notes of boysenberry, licorice stick and small notes of roasted small fruits associated with touches of racy minerality, saffron (on its flowery side), discreet hints of cornflower, Madagascar pepper as well as as well as a subtle hint of camphor, menthol and an imperceptible varietal hint (brings some energy/dynamism!). The palate is nicely structured, full of sapidity and offers tension, a nice freshness, precision, a beautiful acidity as well as a beautiful balance. An airy side in its little richness/creaminess, in the balances. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/bright blackberry, pulpy/fresh raspberry and small notes of racy minerality associated with touches of chocolate/mocha, hints of fresh blue fruits, fine hints of toasted hazelnut as well as a subtle hint of fresh sap, licorice and fresh pepper. Tannins are elegant, gourmands and straight. Good length.
