Domaine Roillus, Vieilles Vignes 2020 – Bourgueil

Domaine Roillus, Vieilles Vignes 2020 – Bourgueil

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose expresses freshness, fruit and a fine floral bouquet. We find notes of crushed raspberry, fresh strawberry, tart red cherry, red currant, blueberry, as well as wild mint, licorice, violet, lilac and fresh tobacco in the background. The palate is chiseled, fresh, juicy and structured, with fine tannins, but drying on the attack. We find notes of raspberry, crunchy strawberry, tangy red cherry, a fine bitterness of cranberries, tangy blackcurrant, as well as notes of wild mint, blackcurrant leaf and violet. The finish is fruity, round and gourmand, with a beautiful fruitiness which helps balance the tannin structure. Beautiful acidity and a fine, gouramand and warm note of cherry jam on the finish.
