The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is concentrated, fleshy, but refined. It expresses notes of ripe morello cherry, dried red cherry, wild strawberry, redcurrant jelly and crushed blueberry, combined with touches of sweet spices (licorice, white pepper, nutmeg), flowers (iris, lily, rose petals), as well as a fine mineral framework (limestone) and a herbaceous touch (cut wild mint). On the palate, the wine is fleshy, juicy and enveloping, while remaining straight, fresh and chiseled. The attack on the palate expresses well-structured tannins, a bit grainy, but not drying, limestone mineral notes, which combine in the mid-palate with flavors of dried black fruits (dried blackcurrant, dried morello cherry), red ripe fruits (strawberry, crushed raspberry, red cherry), flowers (rose petals, dried cornflower) and a herbaceous touch of wild mint as well as a hint of white pepper in the background. Beautiful fresh, but supple acidity, softens a slight bitterness and the structure of tannins. The finish lingers with notes of dried red fruits. A straight wine, with firm structure, balanced by beautiful fruitiness and complexity.
