Domaine Les Caves du Plessis, Réserve Stephane 2020 – Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil

The wine has a bright ruby color. The nose offers a beautiful fruity substance, gourmandise and a slight sweetness of aromas. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, crushed blackberry, stewed red cherry, a fine touch of mint chocolate, delicate notes of sweet spices (clove, licorice, a hintof nutmeg), as well as floral aromas of rosehip and cherry blossom and a very light note of toasted hazelnut in the background. On the palate, the wine is concentrated, but airy at the same time. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, roasted red cherry, raspberry coulis, morello cherry, a touch of blackberry, as well as toasted notes (hazelnut), cocoa, sweet spices (licorice, clove, nutmeg) wrapped by fruit. The tannins are velvety, ample, but fine and integrated. Beautiful acidity and length on the palate, with juiciness, fruity freshness and floral notes on the finish. A wine that offers elegance and controlled power.
