Domaine des Coutures, L’épanouie 2022 – Saumur – Champigny

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity with slight purple reflections. The nose is rather discreet. It expresses notes of red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, fresh red currant, blackcurrant, as well as crushed blackcurrant leaf and violet. The palate is more expressive and offers lightness, juiciness and airiness. It expresses notes of red cherry, strawberry, crushed raspberry, blackcurrant and red currant, associated with a delicate touch of sweet spices (white pepper, nutmeg), flowers (violet, peony), as well as a good bitterness in the rather persistent finish. The tannins are sapid, soft, with a fine but firm texture. Beautiful acidity which refreshes the wine.
