Les 7 Lieux Dits «Les Poyeux», Sélection parcellaire cr éée par neuf vignerons 2022 – Saumur – Champigny

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is refined and gourmand: it expresses the roundness of ripe red fruits, their fine tanginess and some spiciness in the background. We find notes of red cherry, strawberry, crushed raspberry, red currants, a touch of morello cherry, as well as a subtle floral bouquet (violet, a hint of iris and rose petals), some herbaceous notes (thyme, dried mint) and sweet spices (nutmeg, a touch of licorice)in the background. On the palate, the wine is gourmand, juicy and supple, but with good structure and persistence in the mouth. It expresses flavors of tangy red fruits(raspberry, crunchy strawberry, red cherry, morello cherry juice, a touch of crushed blueberry), with a fine herbaceous touch. The mid-palate is fruity, juicy and enveloping, the finish is more on spices and dried aromatic herbs. The tannins are structured, rather firm, but fine and enveloped. A racy and straightforward wine.
