Domaine Bouchard Père & Fils, Beaune Les Grèves Premier Cru 2020 – Beaune Premier Cru

The wine has a bright pale ruby color. The nose is delicate and offers freshness, fruit and juiciness. It expresses notes of strawberry, juicy raspberry, red cherry, redcurrant jelly, a hint of blackcurrant, associated with notes of white pepper, licorice (with a fine touch of anise), clove, cumin, as well as a subtle floral (violet, cornflower) and toasted side (toasted hazelnut, heated oak, a hint of caramel). On the palate, the wine is supple, warming, with notes of sweet spices (licorice, cumin, cloves, a very fine hint of cinnamon) and cocoa, associated with floral notes (violet, cornflower, peony), of dried mint and wrapped in a beautiful fruity substance (wild strawberries, raspberry coulis, juicy morello cherry, redcurrant jelly, blueberry jam). The finish is gourmand, fruity, with a slight hint of cocoa bitterness and a salivating acidity. Beautiful velvety tannic texture.
