The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers concentration, depth and complexity. It first expresses distinct, but integrated oaky notes (toasted oak, toasted almond, toasted brioche with its caramelized and sweet side, coconut in the background), a fragrant spicy bouquet (nutmeg, clove, licorice , a touch of bourbon vanilla, green pepper, cumin seeds) as well as a distinguished minerality and ripe fruit (red cherry, morello cherry, wild strawberry, a hint of blackcurrant and blueberry, roasted red cherry), combined with a refined herbaceous and floral notes (dried mint, dried pine needles, fresh tobacco, fresh wild mint, rose and cornflower). The palate is complex, elegant and subtle. It expresses fruity, straight and tangy flavors (crunchy strawberry, red cherry, morello cherry, wild blueberry, wild strawberry, a hint of blueberry), associated with a delicate herbaceous touch (dried mint, pine needles, fresh wild mint, hay ), and with notes of flowers (wildflowers, dried rose, peony and violet in the background). The smoky and roasted notes are very subtle and appear at the end of the palate, adding to the beautiful complexity of the wine. The finish is long, tasty and complex. It offers a spicy, gourmet side (especially cloves, liquorice) and enveloped in fruit, as well as notes of cocoa and chocolate almond. Nice fresh acidity, but supple. The tannins are melted, sapid and velvety. Lots of gourmandise and elegance. A deep, refined and complex wine.
