(19%) This umeshu has a very beautiful golden color with cognac highlights. It is clear and shiny. The nose is fresh and intense with very beautiful notes of plum but also apricot. We smell a little alcohol which brings an interesting spicy side. The second nose is also powerful with the same aromatic always well defined. There is an interesting lemony aspect as well. The palate is intense on apricot but also orange marmalade. The alcohol is present, spicy, with notes of vanilla and pepper. There is a very nice balance on the palate between juicy fruit, salivating acidity, powerful alcohol and smooth sugar. It is an umeshu with personality. The finish is beautiful, intense with sweetness and acidity. We always have these notes of apricot jam, orange marmalade, white pepper but also prune on the finish which lingers. There is a very nice intensity of the fruit. It’s all about intensity in this tasting.
