The nose is a little discreet and benefits from aeration. It expresses aromas of juicy red and black fruits: sour cherry, blackberry, blue plum, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, as well as fresh notes of peppermint, eucalyptus and flowers (peony, lilac, blueberry). On the palate, the wine has a firm tannic structure and grippy tannins, a bit drying on the finish. At the same time, it has roundness in the mid-palate and a pleasant, fruity attack. The wine expresses flavors of ripe red and black fruits (Morello cherry, crushed strawberry, red currant, blackberry, wild strawberry), accompanied by herbaceous, spicy and savory notes of roasted meat, smoke, liquorice, black pepper, dried mint and eucalyptus. The finish is long, spicy and gourmand, with a softer tannin texture. Beautiful complexity of flavors, a firm structure, but on finesse, lively acidity and good aging potential.
