The nose is fruity, spicy with a fine concentration. There are notes of cloves, fresh pepper and more slightly crushed raspberries combined with hints of pulpy cherries as well as hints of violets and black pepper. The palate is fruity with juiciness, supportive minerality, fine grain and a fine creaminess. This taut palate is discreetly tight with notes of pulpy raspberries, fleshy cherries and more slightly cloves combined with hints of salt, fresh pepper and floral hints. Nice freshness and energy to this wine with an electric quality to its acidity. The tannins are supple. There is a certain roundness.
