Simonnet-Febvre – Paradis 2020 – Irancy

The nose is fresh and mineral with a racy, clean edge. There are notes of crushed raspberries, pulpy blackberries and, to a lesser extent, cherry blossom, combined with hints of lily and a mineral edge. The palate is also mineral with freshness, some juiciness and an acidic frame. It has roundness, some fatness and a fine spherical side on the palate. There are notes of juicy, plump cherries, violets and, more slightly, small crunchy red berries combined with hints of cherry blossom and a subtle hint of fleshy plum and liquorice stick. Good definition with an almost chocolatey, even varietal, quality on the finish.
