The wine shows deep ruby colour. The nose is exuberant, offering intense nuances of toffee, dark chocolate, cherry liqueur and ripe Marasca cherries. The palate reveals bold, slightly astringent tannins, well balanced by luscious sweetness. Some bitterness on the finish adds to the freshness and complexity. A unique style reminiscent of vintage port.
