The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is open and expressive, complex, full of spices. It expresses savory notes of clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, white pepper, as well as the freshness of cut wild mint, liquorice, dried thyme, eucalyptus and cherry blossom and violet. There is also a generous fruity bouquet: we find the sweetness of raspberry coulis, morello cherry jam, prunes, as well as notes of fresh ripe fruit (morello cherry, red plum, black plum, blackberry). On the palate, the wine is full of freshness: there are flavors of red cherry, morello cherry, black plum, strawberry, black pepper, liquorice, coffee, dried mint and violet. The tannins are refined, of a fine texture, but a bit dry, with power which gives the wine a good aging potential. The finish is persistent, concentrated and rich, with notes of candied and very ripe black fruits (morello cherry jam, prunes), chocolate and savoury spices. Good acidity and a slight bitterness complete the profile of the wine and give it a nice structure.
