Château Fleur de Roques – 2020 – Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic, expressive. The first nose offers slightly resinous notes of pine sap, which evolve towards notes of menthol and liquorice after aeration. The second nose expresses more fruit (cherry, red cherry, blueberry, strawberry, roasted cherry, raspberry coulis), notes of torrefaction (toast, coffee) and spices (clove, liquorice), with a very slight touch of violet and peppermint. On the palate, the wine expresses juiciness, a certain roundness and a firm tannic structure. The tannin texture is a bit grainy, with a slight bitterness on the finish. The wine expresses the flavors of tangy red and black fruits (bigarreau cherry, red currant, cranberries, raspberry, blueberry), herbaceous notes (fresh tea leaf, mint leaf), spices (liquorice, black pepper). The finish is taut and tangy, with notes of red cherries and cranberries.
