The nose is racy and offers some depth, intensity and freshness. There are notes of boysenberry, crunchy blackcurrant and more slightly violet combined with hints of violet plum and a touch of wild red berries as well as fine hints of blueberry, star anise and a very discreet hint of fresh tobacco. The palate is fruity, a little tight and offers juiciness, freshness, minerality and tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of creamy blackcurrant, pulpy blackberry and, more slightly, fresh red berries, combined with a touch of crunchy cherry, violet, lilac and a fine hint of nutmeg. Fresh, smooth and energetic.
