The wine has a deep ruby color. The aromas are delicate at first, but are more expressive after aeration. There are notes of fresh red cherry, cassis, black plum, mint as well as subtle and integrated woody notes – vanilla, smoke and liquorice. There is also a delicate note of smoked meat in the background. On the palate, the wine expresses flavors of fresh red and black fruits (red cherry, morello cherry, black plum, blackcurrant), spices (black pepper, cumin, clove) as well as woody notes (smoked, toasted) wrapped in the fruity bouquet. The structure is firm, but elegant – the tannins are grippy but fine, softened by a nice body in the mouth and a pleasant acidity. A gourmand wine with good length, a structure that will allow it to develop for several years.
