Clos Francarney 2020 – Fronsac

The nose is fruity and offers nice concentrated floral aroma. It reveals notes of bright strawberry, crushed cherry and slight notes of rose associated with touches of peony, slight touches of pulpyblackberry, a hint of violet, licorice and an imperceptible hint almost black olive. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, concentration, some fattiness, a good job on the bitters as well as nice bright floral notes. On the palate, this expresses notes of juicy / pulpy cherry, small juicy / pulpy red berries and slight notes of violet associated with touches of peony, rose, hints of fresh liquorice stick as well as a hint of chocolate. and a subtle almost vanilla hint. The tannins are supple and sapid.
