The nose is fruity (ripe fruit), sunny as well as a finely aerial in its grain. It reveals notes of fairly ripe blackberry, ripe blackcurrant and slight notes of black cherry associated with touches of star anise, lily as well as hints of fairly ripe small blue fruits, with a discreet almost roasted hint and pepper. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, tension, as well as some roundness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, pulpy/juicy black cherry and slight hints of fairly ripe/juicy raspberry associated with touches of almost cooked red berries, with fine hints of fairly ripe small blue berries, liquorice stick and a hint of cardamom. Good length. A rather mature style but without heaviness. The tannins are supple.
