La Querce – La Torretta 2005 – Chianti Colli Fiorentini Riserva

The nose offers a slight richness as well as a certain finesse. It reveals notes of light tobacco, brown sugar and a slight hint of nutmeg combined with a fine hint of dried/sweet small red fruits as well as a discreet hint of white pepper and chocolate. The mouth is fresh, well-balanced, a bit tight and offers a fineacidulous side, juiciness, minerality, a fine tension as well as a good tannic structure. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/acidulous raspberry, redcurrants and small notes of rose associated with touches of violet as well as a hint of mushroom / undergrowth. A fine iodized side in the background.
