Château Alcée 2020 – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is fruity and offers gourmandise, a peppery edge and a fine floral touch. There are notes of pulpy blackberry, crushed strawberry and, more slightly, violet, combined with a touch of violet plum, a hint of black pepper, lily and a discreet hint of sediment. The palate is mineral, balanced and offers juiciness, accuracy, gourmandise, a little tension, smoothness and some roundness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of creamy blackberry, crushed black plum and, more slightly, crushed raspberry, combined with hints of small, almost roasted fruits, fine points of violet, lily, as well as a discreet hint of toasted/roasted hazelnut, tonka bean and a very discreet hint of vanilla bean. The tannins are supple and gourmet. Some mellowness and sapidity. Gourmet.
