The nose is fruity, mineral and slightly restrained. There are notes of fresh wild blackberry, violet and, more slightly, roasted red berries combined with touches of racy minerality and fine zaniness. The palate is mineral, balanced and offers juiciness, freshness, good definition, a certain gourmandise as well as an acidic frame. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, raspberry and slightly blueberry notes with hints of crunchy cherry, graphite, cardamom and a subtle hint of roasted fruit and a discreet vanilla note. The tannins are racy and discreetly tight.
