The nose is refined, with warm notes of roasted cherry, morello cherry, black plum (even prune), fresh blackcurrant, crème de cassis, dried mint, licorice and violet. On the palate, the wine is silky, warm and rich. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, black plum, blackcurrant, morello cherry and crunchy strawberry, combined with notes of vanilla, cinnamon, licorice, peppermint and white pepper (in the background). The tannins are firm, slightly astringent. A salivating acidity balances the dry tannic side. Good persistence.
